-Official rules and information:
King of Nordic Championship Season 15 starting 2019-02-07, running for 8 episodes:

-King of Nordic Championship
King of Nordic Championship [KoN] was founded in 2015 and has now reached it’s 15th season. KoN is an open nordic championship tournament with over 2500 players participating every season. The tournament fills the gap between amateur and professional teams and offers new talents the chance to climb the ladder of esports and get discovered by both organisations and fans.

In our history of KoN several pro players such as REZ, Magisk, sergej has played in the King of Nordic Championship before being picked up by top teams like Ninjas in Pyjamas, Astralis and ENCE. After 144 nordic finals, the tournament has become a power factor in the Nordics.

-National qualifier tournaments
Every week there are national tournaments in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland where 400-600 players participate. The team that wins the national tournament represents their country in the King of Nordic Championship weekly finals where the countries meet.

-Jackpot system
King of Nordic are using a Jackpot system where the teams need four consecutive wins to be granted a Jackpot. Every week the winning team wins EUR 500, and after four consecutive wins on the throne there is a Jackpot doubling the already earned prize money with EUR 2000. The jackpot system motivates the rulers to stay in the tournament until they win the jackpot and also becomes a more attractive target to beat.

-Viewer interaction
Our viewers will have the opportunity to decide which map they want to see played. The team captain from each team gets to ban two maps from the map pool - leaving three maps for the viewers to choose from. The goal is to interact more with the viewers by granting them more power and to create a less random map selection. Our traditional map wheel is long gone.

We will have an interactive hosting section where our host will interact directly with our viewers in the Twitch chat. There will also be an MVP vote poll throughout the week on our social medias where you will have the opportunity to vote for your favorite player - showing them how appreciated they are. Fun quizzes, contests and much more will also come along through the season.

-KoN Honorbet League
We are once again going to do the “Honorbet League” where you can predict the match result in the Twitch chat and gain points according to your results. You will not win any fancy price or any money. This is all about honor and respect.
