King of Nordic is back with CS:GO Season 13

Welcome back to the thirteenth season of King of Nordic, starting 25th of January.

After twelve wonderful seasons - King of Nordic is returning with 8 weeks of esport action and friday entertainment for season 13. With a new approach of the show, updated logo and graphics and a new Jackpot system - season 13 is going to be the most thrilling season so far.

Open Qualifiers
To start Season 13 up fresh, we will have open qualifiers for the first episode. There will be no kings at the throne - everyone will have a chance to climb up from the qualifier. The team “Vinkelparty” who were on top from season 12 have generously stepped down from the throne to leave the qualifiers open. A big shout out to the amazing players of Vinkelparty: Mattias ‘barretz’ Risberg, Alex ‘PALM1’ Palm, Felix ‘fellster’ Mäenpää, Linus ‘limp’ Brännlund and William ‘s1ck’ Johansson!

Very well played, we hope to see more of team Vinkelparty in Season 13!

New Jackpot system
King of Nordic are proudly presenting the new Jackpot system where the teams now only need four consecutive wins, instead of the previous five, to be granted a Jackpot. Every week the winning team wins EUR 500, and after four consecutive wins on the throne there is now a Jackpot doubling the already earned prize money with EUR 2.000. Making this Jackpot easier to reach motivates the rulers to stay in the tournament until they win the jackpot.

Viewer interaction
or the first time ever, the viewers on Twitch will have the opportunity to decide which map they want to see played. The team captain from each team gets to ban two maps from the map pool - leaving three maps for the viewers to choose from. The goal is to interact more with the viewers by granting them more power and to create a less random map selection. Our traditional map wheel is now gone as well - but is it for good? You will see along the season!

New approach of the show and social medias
We will have a new interactive hosting section where our host will interact directly with our viewers in the Twitch chat. There will also be an MVP vote poll throughout the week on our social medias where you will have the opportunity to vote for your favorite player - showing them how appreciated they are. Fun quizzes, contests and much more will also come along through the season.

KoN Honorbet League
In order to make it more entertaining for our viewers, we are re-introducing our own concept “KoN Honorbet League” where you can predict the match result in the Twitch chat and gain points according to your results. We will have saved statistics both of the All time top and Season top betters, where we will show and compare the results live on stream. You can not win any money or skins. It is only for fun and honor.

National Tournament Partners
In order be close to the community we have national tournament partners who hold the right to host the King of Nordic in each country. In Norway, this is done by Gamer.no, Norway's largest media agency for gaming and esport. In Sweden, it is managed by Swedish Pro League (SPL) founded by Jesper "JW" Wecksell and Christian “Chrille” Lindberg with over 7.000 active players in their league. In Denmark, we work with Esport.dk the oldest esport site in Denmark and the people behind Copenhagen Games. In Finland, we do it together with the biggest CS:GO Community CSGOFinland.fi
